How to Register to Vote in Anne Arundel County

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now. Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

The voter registration deadline for Maryland is Oct. 16.

Here’s information on how you can register in time for Election Day on Nov. 6:

• You can submit your registration electronically if you provide a valid Maryland-issued state ID number or driver’s license number: Use Maryland's Online Voter Registration System.
• Download a voter registration form (also attached to this article as a PDF) from the Maryland Board of Elections website and mail it to P.O. Box 490, Glen Burnie, MD 21060-0490. (Note it cannot be faxed or emailed becasue it needs an original signature.)
• You can also fill out a form in person or drop your form off at the Anne Arundel County Board of Elections Office located at 7320 Ritchie Highway, Room 200, in Glen Burnie from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday (except holidays). For more information, call 410-222-6600.

You are not considered a registered voter until you receive your Voter Notification Card, according to the Maryland Board of Elections website.

Note that any registered voter (who is qualified for that election) can vote during early voting, which will take place Oct. 27 to Nov. 1.
