Murder Charges Filed In Death Of Edgewater Man: Police
An Edgewater man was fatally shot nearly five months ago; a suspect from Beltsville was charged with murder recently, police said.
EDGEWATER, MD — Five months after a fatal shooting in Baltimore, Anne Arundel County authorities have charged a man with murder in the death of an Edgewater man.
A news release from the Anne Arundel County Police Department said Estuardo Marroquin Caceros, 29, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body on Aug. 18, 2025. Baltimore Police officers were called to the 2700 block of Manokin Street for an unattended death, and found Caceros there.
He was pronounced dead by medics at the scene. An autopsy determined the manner of death to be homicide.

Investigators with the Baltimore Police Department Homicide Unit developed a suspect, who the victim knew. The suspect was later identified as Bryan Alberto Cazares, 28, of Beltsville.
Baltimore detectives identified an address in the 1600 block of Fullerton Road in Edgewater as a location where Caceros and Cazares were together on Aug. 17, 2025.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department Homicide Unit assisted Baltimore police with a search and seizure warrant at the Fullerton Road address. Detectives determined Caceros was fatally shot at that site.
On Jan. 23, an arrest warrant was issued charging Cazares with first- and second-degree murder, along with other charges. Detectives located Cazares in St. Mary’s County, and arrested him without incident.
The other criminal counts filed against Cazares are first-degree assault, second-degree assault, firearm use by a felon in the commission of a violent crime, and altering physical evidence of a criminal procedure.
