Nearly Dozen North County Thefts Tied To 3 Suspects: Police

More than 10 thefts from vehicles in northern Anne Arundel County may be tied to three suspects arrested, police say.

PASADENA, MD — Two people from Brooklyn Park and a Middle River woman have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than 60 items from multiple vehicles from Pasadena to Brooklyn. Anne Arundel County Police say all three suspects have been charged with 30 counts of theft each, and more criminal charges are likely.

The investigation kicked off July 12 when a customer at a convenience store in Brooklyn Park reported her debit card — which was stolen from a vehicle — was used at that location. Officers reviewed surveillance footage from the store and recognized the suspect as Joshua Chaney of Brooklyn Park.

Investigators say Chaney and two other suspects were responsible for more than ten thefts from vehicles ranging from Pasadena to Brooklyn. When a search warrant was executed, more than 60 pieces of property were recovered and returned to victims.
