New Early Education Wing Viewable At Riviera Beach Open House

PASADENA, MD — Families hoping to catch a sneak peek at the new early childhood education wing constructed at Riviera Beach Elementary can do so Thursday, Aug. 29, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The school is located at 8515 Jenkins Rd. in Pasadena.

The wing has four classrooms that will house three kindergarten and one pre-kindergarten classroom. The new wing allows the rooms to be next to each other instead of being scattered around the building. Each classroom contains a SMART board designed to increase student engagement. The windows also are equipped with filters to prevent ultraviolet light from creeping in.

To improve security, the construction project created a vestibule at the main entrance. Once a visitor is buzzed into the building, he or she will enter the vestibule first before being admitted access to the building.
