Pasadena Man Charged In Fatal Shooting At Northrop Grumman Near BWI Airport

Two security guards argued at the Northrop Grumman facility near BWI, with a Pasadena man accused of fatally shooting his co-worker.

LINTHICUM, MD — After an argument between two security guards at the Northrop Grumman facility near BWI Airport turned into a shooting Wednesday afternoon, a Pasadena man is accused of fatally shooting his co-worker.

The deadly dispute was reported about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the business in the 7300 block of Aviation Boulevard in Linthicum. Maryland Transportation Authority Police secured the scene and had the suspect in their custody, then turned him over to Anne Arundel authorities.

Anne Arundel County police said there was a dispute inside the business between two contracted security guards. During the exchange, one security guard fired his handgun, striking his co-worker.

The shooting victim, identified as Joseph Keith Aman, 37, of Baltimore, died from his injuries at the scene, police said. A third contracted security guard intervened, disarmed the suspect and took him into custody.

The accused gunman — Dylan Blake Chandler, 26, of Pasadena — has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges, police said.

Security guards at the facility carried firearms as part of their job, FOX Baltimore reported.

This was an isolated incident that did not involve Northrop Grumman employees, police said.

Anne Arundel County Police Homicide Detectives are leading the investigation, and seized the suspected gunman's weapon.
