Pasadena Senior Center Announces March Schedule
Wii tournaments and a casino field trip are on the program for this month.

The on Mountain Road announced the March schedule of activities. Here is what’s on the schedule this month:
- The Pasadena Senior Activity Center will celebrate Women in History Month (March) with two activities.The first is Mary Ann Jung’s History Alive! Presentation: “Julia Child, Queen of Cuisine” to be presented at 12:45 p.m. March 8. The program highlight’s Child’s early struggle to find her life’s calling, with insights into her struggles at Le Cordon Bleu, her efforts to develop and publish “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” and the creation of the groundbreaking “French Chef” television program. Sign up for this presentation at the office. The second is “Women in Baltimore History” at 10 a.m. March 16 with Wayne Schaumburg, who loves history, particularly that of 19th-century America and his hometown of Baltimore. His talk will feature great Baltimore women and their impact on the city and the nation. Sign up by March 9.
- A Reiki Workshop will be presented from 9 to 11 a.m. March 15. Kathleen Fitzpatrick will conduct the workshop, a Japanese method of stress reduction. Two appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes. Sign up by March 8.
- Tom Lucas will entertain with his guitar and a variety of Irish tunes from 12:30 to 2 p.m. March 15. Sign up by March 8.
- Irish Fiddle and Tunes with Tracey and John is set for 12:30 p.m. March 19 at the center. The couple will perform old Irish favorites to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Sign up by March 12.
- Sign up by March 14 for a lecture and presentation on “Living on Social Security” with Ricardo Cardenas at 9:30 a.m. March 21 at the center. Breakfast refreshments will be served.
- The “March Madness” Wii Tournament will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28 at the center. Register by March 19. Prizes will be awarded and lunch will be served through the Nutrition Program. Munchies, snacks and beverages will be provided.
- Dottie Snyder of Himmel’s Farm and Garden Center will give a presentation about “Getting Ready for Spring Planting” at 1 p.m. March 29. Register by March 22.
- The center is planning a trip to the Harrington, DEL casino on March 23 and again on April 20, with sign up by March 7. The cost is $25, which includes $15 in game money and the $13.95 buffet. Seating is limited. Sign up at the trip desk between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays.
