Police: Heroin Found on Man in Severn Store Parking Lot

Anne Arundel County Police say they seized gel caps containing about $400 worth of heroin.

A Baltimore man faces drug charges after he was stopped by Anne Arundel County Police in the parking lot of a Severn convenience store.

According to police, officers noticed a suspect acting suspicious about 3:10 p.m. Friday in the area of Reece Road near Pioneer Drive.

Police detained Demonte Jones, 22, of 161 Cypress Road in Baltimore, and learned he was wanted on several arrest warrants.

When authorities searched Jones they reportedly found 31 clear gel caps containing suspected heroin. The estimated street value of the drugs was estimated to be $403.
