PASADENA, MD — A county police officer recently saved a man who was drowning in Pasadena, authorities announced Tuesday.
Police said they heard about a man struggling to stay afloat at Lake Waterford Park around 5 p.m. on June 19.
The 30-year-old victim swam out to the middle of the lake to retrieve a radio-controlled motor boat. The man then suffered muscle cramps and tried to use the boat as a floatation device. He lost his grip and started going underwater multiple times, officers said.
