School Board Candidate Interviews Set For Oct. 29, Nov. 1
Anne Arundel County residents can watch interviews of school board candidates.

From AACPS: The School Board Appointment Commission of Anne Arundel County will interview nine candidates for the District 30 seat on the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County over the course of two nights beginning later this month. Sessions will begin at 7 p.m. on October 29 and November 1 in the Board Room at the Dr. Carol Sheffey Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.
Candidates will be interviewed as follows:
October 29: Regina Miles of Annapolis; Jessica Quincosa of Riva; Bob Leib of Harwood; Kathleen McQuade of Annapolis; and Ray Leone of Edgewater.
November 1: James Schneider of Edgewater; Jeff Macris of Annapolis; Mohammed Hussain of Annapolis; and Erin Snell of Annapolis.
Serpil Gulsen of Annapolis and Wade Winkler of Riva had submitted applications for the seat but have since withdrawn from consideration.
The 13-member commission is charged with appointing individuals to fill vacancies on the Board of Education as the Board transitions from an entirely appointed Board to one that is entirely elected.

The Commission will announce a date to vote on a candidate when that date has been determined. All meetings will take place in the Board Room of Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.
Commission meetings are open to the public and televised live on AACPS-TV, which can be found on Channel 96 on Comcast and Broadstripe, and Channel 36 on Verizon. High definition broadcasts can be seen on Channel 996 on Comcast, Channel 496 on Broadstripe, and 1961 on Verizon.
