Weather Delays Anne Arundel Pre-K Registration
Anne Arundel County Public Schools are delaying the start of pre-kindergarten registration until Thursday, Feb. 8, because of bad weather.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Due to the threat of inclement weather on Wednesday, Feb. 7, the start of Anne Arundel County Public Schools pre-kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 8, officials said Tuesday. The area will be under a winter weather advisory Wednesday morning with sleet and freezing rain expected before it switches to rain.
Registration must be done in person at the school in which the child will be enrolled. All families interested in registering for prekindergarten in the Deale, Lothian, Shady Side, and Tracey’s elementary school attendance areas – including at the new Carrie Weedon Early Education Center set to open next fall – should do so at Lothian or Shady Side elementary schools.
Children enrolling in prekindergarten must be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2018. The following documents are required when registering a child for prekindergarten:
