Fire-Rescue Log: Three-Alarm Fire in Edgemere

During the period April 8-15, AVFD received 55 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

April 8: At 5:17 p.m., a dwelling fire was reported on the Maple Drive, unit block, 5:17 p.m. April 8. A. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded and extinguished a porch fire.

April 10: At 8:11 p.m., a church fire was reported on Northpoint Boulevard at Wise Avenue in Edgemere. Crews from the Arbutus, Bowley’s Quarters, English Consul, Middle River, North Point, Rosedale, White Marsh, and Wise Avenue volunteer stations and Dundalk, Eastview, Edgemere, Essex, Golden Ring, Middle River, Randallstown and Sparrow’s Point career stations responded. A third alarm church fire was extinguished, no injuries were reported

April 11: At 12:56 p.m., a cardiac arrest was reported on the 1200-block of Stevens Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One critically ill person was taken to a local hospital.

April 12: At 11:54 a.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on the 5100-block of Westland Boulevard in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.

April 12: At 12:26 p.m., an unconscious person was reported on the unit block of Colony Hill Court in Arbutus. An. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One seriously ill person was taken to a local hospital.
