We know that the idea of a possible Pittsburgh Steelers victory could drive anyone from Baltimore to drink, but keep it in check.

Baltimore County Police will be adding extra officers to patrol the county this weekend, “to make sure anyone driving under the influence will be stopped, ticketed and possibly arrested,” according to a release.

The Baltimore County Police Department offered the following tips for a safe Super Bowl Sunday:

  • Before you put together your liquor store list, plan out your menu.
  • Fill your tables with plenty of food to keep everyone eating more and drinking less.
  • Have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages on hand in the refrigerator and in ice coolers.
  • Don’t be afraid to curtail a guest’s alcohol intake.
  • When you greet your friends, ask for their car keys.

“The Baltimore County Police Department doesn’t want to ruin anyone’s fun, but the choice is simple; drink and drive, get arrested, serve jail time, or become involved in a fatal crash,” reads a statement from a release.
