Speed Camera Changes Take Effect Oct. 3
Speed camera removed from Lansdowne Road, operational on Rolling Road near Catonsville High.
Baltimore County police announced that relocated traffic speed cameras will become operational on Oct. 3.
A camera on Lansdowne Road near Lansdowne Middle School has been taken out of service, and a new speed camera has been installed on the 500-block of South Rolling Road near Catonsville High School.
A speed camera on the 1300-block of Sulphur Spring Road near Arbutus Elementary School remains operational.

All three sites will have portable cameras installed on concrete pads, which will allow traffic in both directions to be monitored.
For 30 days after each camera is activated, motorists exceeding the speed limit by at least 12 miles per hour will receive warnings rather than citations, according to police. Citations will be issued after 30 days.

In compliance with state law, the cameras will only be used Monday-Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
