Woman Dies, 3 Firefighters Injured In Riverview Blaze: Officials
One person died and three firefighters were injured in a house fire Friday night near Lansdowne, officials reported.

LANSDOWNE, MD — One person died in a house fire in Riverview Friday night near Lansdowne, according to authorities. Officials said three firefighters also sustained minor injuries.
Crews were dispatched to the 3100 block of Aspen Court, where a neighbor reported there was a house on fire at 10:44 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9.
By 10:50 p.m., an engine from the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the end-of-group townhouse, where firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions.

Eleanor Jean Daniels, 69, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While crews started to attack the fire, authorities said there was a small explosion. Based on the preliminary investigation, officials reported an oxygen tank ruptured inside the home.

By 11:15 p.m., authorities reported the fire was under control.
Three firefighters had minor injuries; none required hospitalization, officials said.
About 40 personnel responded to the house fire, which the Baltimore County Police Department was continuing to investigate Saturday, Nov. 10.

This was the second fatal fire in Baltimore County this week; an older woman also died in blaze in Randallstown on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
In about eight months, there have been two other deadly fires in the area.
In March, there was a deadly house fire on Courtney Avenue; and in August, a man died in a house fire on Ashbourne Road.
