11 MD Counties Under Frost Advisory, 70s In Week Ahead Forecast

Eleven MD counties are under a frost advisory overnight with lows predicted to drop close to freezing, the National Weather Service said.

MARYLAND — Brrr! Eleven Maryland counties are under a frost advisory overnight in Monday morning with lows predicted to drop close to freezing, the National Weather Service said. But the cold snap won't last long, with high temperatures expected to reach the 70s Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will dip as low as 33 to 36 degrees in areas under the advisory, leading to frost formation, according to the weather service, which says freezing temperatures are possible.
The frost advisory is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. on Monday, April 11.

These areas are under the frost advisory: Anne Arundel, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Cecil County, Charles County, Frederick County, Harford County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and Washington County.

Cities covered by the advisory include: Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Bowie, Suitland-Silver Hill, Clinton, College Park, Greenbelt, Laurel, Camp Springs, Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Severn, South Gate, Severna Park, Arnold, Odenton, St. Charles, Waldorf, Germantown, Damascus, Bethesda, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, Lisbon, Columbia, and Ellicott City.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor plants, so you should cover any that need protection tonight, the weather service said.
