2 Fetuses Found On MTA Bus In MD: Police
Homicide detectives are investigating after the stillborn fetuses were discovered Saturday on an MTA bus on Kirk Avenue, police said.

BALTIMORE, MD — Two stillborn fetuses were discovered over the weekend on a Maryland Transit Administration bus in East Baltimore, according to police.
The driver found the first fetus on a bus seat shortly before 12:40 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Kirk Avenue, a Baltimore City police spokesperson told Patch. The second was found shortly after.
MTA police, Eastern District officers, and homicide detectives responded, authorities said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took possession of the fetus, which were stillborn, a spokesperson for the medical examiner told the Baltimore Sun.

In an interview with WBAL, Eric Carver said he boarded the bus after working a 12-hour shift on Saturday when he spotted one of the fetuses on the seat. A bonnet covered it, he told the station.
Carver told WBAL he alerted the driver before the police were notified.

"Something told me, 'Look at that again.' I looked at it again and saw what it is, and I could tell you what went through my mind, but it probably wouldn't be good for the TV," Carver told WBAL.
Homicide detectives are investigating, police said. No additional details were immediately available.
