3 Baltimore Schools Dismiss Early Due To Gas Leak: Officials

Three schools that share a building in northeast Baltimore dismissed ahead of schedule due to an issue with utilities on Monday, June 3.

BALTIMORE, MD — A building that is shared by multiple schools in Baltimore City was closing early on Monday, June 3, officials announced Monday morning. Baltimore City Public Schools attributed the early dismissal to a gas leak.

Reginald Lewis High School, Achievement Academy and Success Academy evacuated their building in the 6400 block of Pioneer Drive, authorities reported after 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

All of those schools were dismissing at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 3, officials said.
