5 Shot Near Bloom Street, 1 Dead: Baltimore Police
Police said one person was killed in a quintuple shooting Thursday night in central Baltimore.
BALTIMORE, MD — Five people were shot in the central district around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. Investigators suspect the victims were in the 500 block of Bloom Street at the time of the shootings.
A 26-year-old man found at the intersection of North Avenue and Monroe Street died at the hospital, according to police.
Officials said the four other victims are expected to survive their injuries.

Police described the surviving victims as follows:
- 19-year-old man shot in his hand
- 25-year-old man shot in the lower back
- 35-year-old man shot in his back
- 46-year-old man shot in the buttocks
Based on the initial investigation, detectives said the five men were in the 500 block of Bloom Street when they were shot.

Officers on patrol heard gunshots from the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Bloom Street. When they responded, they found two victims in the 500 block of Bloom Street and three others in nearby locations.
One was at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and School Street.
Another was in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
The man who later died was found on North Avenue and Monroe Street, police reported.
