Aldi Reopens After Remodel On Fayette Street
In the Baltimore metropolitan area, Aldi is investing $18 million to update 13 stores, including this one that recently reopened on Fayette.
BALTIMORE, MD — The Aldi on East Fayette Street reopened Friday, Aug. 23. It was one of more than 1,300 stores the chain is remodeling and expanding nationwide by 2020. The goal of the initiative is to grow the grocery store's fresh food area by 40 percent.
The updated Baltimore Aldi store layout now features more refrigeration space for fresh products, and 20 percent of its offerings are new.
"The updated Aldi store layout has even more to offer shoppers. Stores are easier to navigate and have more space for the products people love the most," Jeff Baehr, Frederick division vice president for Aldi, said in a statement. "We can’t wait to show our customers in Baltimore their newly remodeled store, and continue providing the affordable, high-quality foods we know they love at Aldi."
