Officers say the property owner ultimately asked that everyone, including customers, be escorted off the property, highlighting ongoing concerns about crowd safety and behavior in this busy North Baltimore shopping hub.
4. Barricade situation reported in Baltimore's Clifton Park neighborhood (wbal.com) — Police and SWAT teams are handling a barricade situation Tuesday morning in Baltimore's Clifton Park neighborhood, shutting down Harford Road from Broadway to 25th Street and rerouting MTA buses. Residents near the 1600 block of Darley Avenue are urged to avoid the area while crisis negotiators work on scene and officials determine whether the situation remains active.
5. Baltimore County to hold 2026 Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K and one-mile walk in September (nottinghammd.com) — Registration is open now for Baltimore County's 20th annual Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K and one-mile walk, happening Sept. 20 at CCBC Essex. The race supports wellness and health programs for older adults, with campus roads closing at 8 a.m. and a group warm-up before the 8:30 a.m. start. Residents can sign up online or by phone.
