Person Hit By Train Dies Near Baltimore: Report
A person was reportedly killed on the tracks Thursday morning in a collision with an Amtrak Acela train.
BALTIMORE, MD — An Amtrak train reportedly hit someone Thursday morning in a fatal crash. The train was stopped for approximately two hours.
Acela Train 2160 was stopped after 10:45 a.m. due to a "trespasser strike" on Thursday, April 18, according to Amtrak Northeast.
A person died after being hit by the train north of the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus, WBAL reported.

The Acela Train 2160 — which travels between D.C. and Boston — left Washington, D.C., at 9:50 a.m. The train arrived at Penn Station in Baltimore at 10:25 a.m. Thursday, according to Amtrak. Its next stop was to be Wilmington, Delaware, at 11:09 a.m. The Acela Train 2160's final destination is Boston, where it is slated to arrive around 5 p.m.
At 12:45 p.m., Amtrak said it was back on the move and was one hour and 55 minutes late.

By 1:55 p.m., Amtrak reported normal train service had resumed near Baltimore.
