Artscape 2018: Road Closures, Hours, Parking
Multiple streets in Baltimore will be blocked off for Artscape; find out how to get there and which areas to avoid.

BALTIMORE, MD โ Artscape is this weekend, and there are going to be thousands of people packing midtown for the free festival. There are several ways to get there, and plenty of roads to avoid.
Here is a guide to getting to Artscape.
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation advised there will be several road closures starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 19.

Which Roads Are Closed
- North Charles Street between West Preston Street and North Avenue.
- I-83 entrance ramp closed on North Charles Street (local access between Biddle and Preston Streets)
- Lanvale Street between Maryland Avenue and Lovegrove Street (Amtrak parking access open)
- East Lafayette Avenue from St. Paul to North Charles Streets (local access to gas station and school)

How To Get To Artscape
Artscape will bring crowds to Mount Royal Avenue and Cathedral Street, Charles Street, Bolton Hill, and Station North Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods.
The Maryland Transit Administration advises taking the light rail. To get to Artscape using this method of transportation, take the light rail to the Mt. Royal/University of Baltimore stop. Light rail service will be extended by one hour after Artscape ends on Sunday July 22, transit officials said.
Other options are Amtrak, MTA and the Charm City Circulator.
Bicyclists will have bike parking on Maryland Avenue between Mt. Royal Avenue and Preston Street. Cyclists are responsible for securing their bikes.
Where To Park Vehicles
There is street parking surrounding festival grounds.
These are the official Artscape garages:
- University of Baltimoreโs Maryland Avenue Garage, 1120 Maryland Avenue
- The Fitzgerald Garage, 80 W. Oliver Street
- The Meyerhoff Garage, 1311 Cathedral Street
- The Penn Station Garage, 1500 N. Charles Street
Special event parking at these parking lots are $10 for up to eight hours: 1900 North Howard Street and 1915 North Howard Street.
To park in an ADA parking space, a vehicle must have a valid government issued disability placard/plate clearly presented in vehicle. For additional parking information, visit www.baltimoreparking.com.
When Is Artscape
Artscape is from Friday, July 20, to Sunday, July 22.
Hours are as follows:
- 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 20
- 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 21
- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 22
