Bach in Baltimore Performs Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 & Cantata 184
Featuring Qing Li, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Principal Second Violin
Bach in Baltimore presents and an all-Bach tribute, February 12 at 4 pm at St. Joseph Parish, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville that WILL have you home in time for the Superbowl. The program features a captivating pairing of quintessential Bach works, including Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 for two solo flutes, solo violin, and string orchestra with Qing Li, violin; Sara Nichols, flute; and Sarah McIver, flute. The concert also includes the alluring Cantata 184: Erwünschtes Freudenlicht (Desired light of joy), which, like the Brandenburg Concerto, has delightful underpinnings of dance throughout. The Cantata will be performed by Bach in Baltimore’s “Emerging Artists” and favorite returning artists, including Tess Ottinger, soprano; Charles Humphries, alto; Luke Schmidt, tenor; William Marshall, bass. This concert is also available through live-streaming.
Individual adult tickets ($33-35), student tickets ($10 with Student ID), children’s tickets ($5), streaming tickets ($5 and up), and cost-saving Passes—including the Full Season Pass ($299) and Mini Pass ($95)—are now available for purchase at bachinbaltimore.org or by calling 410-941-9262.
