Back To School: Baltimore City 2021-22 School Calendar

BALTIMORE, MD — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Baltimore, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Baltimore City Public Schools.

The first day of school for students enrolled in Baltimore City Public Schools is Monday, Aug. 30.

Most students will return to the classroom in person.

However, the school system is also offering a virtual learning program for students who applied to continue with their studies online.

This fall, face coverings will continue to be required indoors for everyone in Baltimore City Public Schools.

"Face coverings are not required outdoors," the school system's guidance says. "Unvaccinated students should maintain a distance of 3 feet from other students in their cohort and 6 feet from students not in their cohort while unmasked outdoors. Unvaccinated adults should maintain a distance of six feet from everyone while unmasked outdoors."

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year in Baltimore City Public Schools:

• First Day: Monday, Aug. 30
• Thanksgiving Break: Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26
• Winter Break: Friday, Dec. 24, to Sunday, Jan. 2
• Spring Break: Monday, April 11, to Monday, April 18
• Last Day: Wednesday, June 8

In the event of inclement weather, the last day of school will be Friday, June 10.
