Baltimore On Allstate's 'Best Drivers' List
Does Charm City have some of the best drivers in America?

BALTIMORE, MD — On this year's list of America's Best Drivers, compiled by Allstate, Baltimore ranked in the top 200. The insurance company's rankings reveal which towns are the least likely to have collisions.
Baltimore came in at No. 199 and was the only place in Maryland to make it onto the top 200 list.
The report took a look at claims data by Allstate-insured drivers in the country's 200 largest cites, including property damage claims submitted between January 2014 and December 2015.

Kansas City came in at No. 1 on the list, while Boston ranked last.
As Baltimore was second-to-last, its data shows it has a bit more activity as far as insurance claims than the national average. The national average is 10 years between claims and 19 hard-braking events per 1,000 miles, according to the report.

According to Allstate, there are 4.2 years between insurance claims among Baltimore drivers and 25.6 hard-braking events per 1,000 miles.
In Baltimore metro areas, there are 7.6 years between claims and 17 hard-braking events per 1,000 miles.
