Baltimore City Closures And Cancellations For Thursday, Feb. 18
Recycling pickup, coronavirus vaccine clinics and other services are canceled due to winter weather.
BALTIMORE, MD — Several cancellations have been announced due to winter weather in the forecast for Baltimore.
The National Weather Service placed Baltimore under a winter storm warning calling for snow and ice that could make travel hazardous from 3 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.
Trash and recycling collection is canceled Thursday, Feb. 18. The make-up day is Saturday, Feb. 20.

The following Department of Public Works facilities will be closed Thursday:
- Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street
- Southwestern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue
- Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 6101 Bowleys Lane

- The Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Road
- Quarantine Road Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Road.
Baltimore City Public Schools will continue with virtual learning, and essential employees are to report. Meal sites and in-person learning will be closed Thursday, Feb. 18.
The Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital will be closed Thursday, Feb. 18, for both COVID-19 vaccination and testing.
Enoch Pratt Free Library is closed Thursday. Sidewalk service will be unavailable.
The Morgan State University campus will be closed Thursday, Feb. 18. Face-to-face instruction is canceled. Remote instruction will continue as planned for all classes. Telework remains in effect for applicable employees.
Liberal leave is in effect Thursday for Baltimore City Government's nonessential employees and those who are teleworking. Employees must get permission from their supervisor before using liberal leave.
Public works officials ask residents to clear storm drains in streets and alleys and ensure hydrants are accessible.
