Weather Call From Baltimore City Public Schools For January 18
The schedule for Jan. 18 has changed, according to Baltimore City Public Schools.
BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore City Public Schools canceled all activities Saturday, Jan. 18. Officials made the announcement Friday afternoon that school buildings will be closed Saturday, and activities planned by or at Baltimore City Public Schools have been canceled.
Baltimore is under a winter weather advisory from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
During that time, 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is possible, according to the National Weather Service. Up to 0.1 inch ice could also accumulate, weather officials said.

Because below-freezing temperatures will grip the region before the snow, the National Weather Service advised that smaller amounts of snow and freezing rain will have more of an impact.

Drivers should anticipate slippery road conditions that will require slowing down and increasing following distance. Untreated roads and sidewalks may be icy, and people should be extra careful taking the first steps out of their home.
Baltimore City Public Schools will also be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
