Baltimore City Teacher Accused Of Raping Missing 12-Year-Old Girl
The girl was found at the teacher's Pikesville home, ending a statewide search after she was reported missing last week, a report said.

BALTIMORE, MD โ A Baltimore City teacher has been accused of raping a 12-year-old girl who was missing for a week, according to police and a Baltimore Banner report.
Lewis Laury, 24, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree rape and sexual offense in the third degree, Baltimore County police said in a news release. Laury was charged after police said he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
A spokesperson for Baltimore City Public Schools said Laury is currently employed as a teacher at Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School.

Charging documents obtained by the Banner show that phone records obtained during the search for the girl led investigators to Laury's home on Wychwood Court in Pikesville. U.S. Marshals went to the home and found the child inside.
Laury was not home when the 12-year-old was found, the Banner reported. She was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and remained there as of Monday night, her mother told the Banner.
Police said Laury is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
