Baltimore Community GEDCO Cares Wins Revitalization Contribution from Cricket Wireless and Rebuilding Together

GEDCO Cares was Chosen by the Public via Online Voting

The Baltimore community chose GEDCO Cares to win a revitalization contribution from Cricket Wireless and Rebuilding Together. The project is part of their joint “Connecting Communities” initiative. The goal is to restore homes, community centers and revitalize underserved neighborhoods.

Cricket and Rebuilding Together will work with GEDCO Cares to provide mold remediation and installation of various educational and training materials including projectors, screens and cubicles. The renovations will allow GEDCO Cares to better serve its clients in a healthier, safer and more efficient workspace. The project is slated to take place end of September or early October.

The Baltimore community voted on 3 projects to determine which would receive the most funding. The remaining 2, Govans Urban Forest and Kenneth Harris Memorial Garden will receive smaller donations toward needed repairs.
