Baltimore Man Who Brutally Murdered Girlfriend Gets Life In Prison

Linique Green was "left to die in the middle of the street" after she was chased down and stabbed multiple times in 2021, prosecutors said.

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the brutal 2021 slaying of his girlfriend, Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown announced Wednesday.

Forell Isaac Jr., 39, of Baltimore, was convicted of first-degree murder after killing 29-year-old Linique Green on Sept. 12, 2021. Prosecutors said Isaac tracked Green on the night of her death before chasing her down and stabbing her nine times.

"This defendant has been given chance after chance," prosecutors said at Isaac's sentencing, noting he was on supervised release for a federal firebombing case when Green was killed. "If you take a life, you forfeit the right to walk amongst free people ever again."

According to prosecutors, Isaac and Green were involved in a tumultuous romantic relationship at the time of the killing. During their relationship, Isaac displayed controlling behavior and warned Green not to see other people.

During his trial, a witness testified that Isaac said "told 'ya" to Green immediately before he stabbed her. Another witness said Green threatened them and Green before the murder.

Green's family members spoke before Isaac's sentencing, stating Isaac "stole her second chance." When asking the judge to impose the harshest sentence possible, family members described the loss of Green as "catastrophic," adding, "We’re getting justice for Linique today."

In a statement, Brown called Green's murder a "senseless act of violence."

"I understand that no amount of prison time can bring back a loved one lost to unthinkable violence, but I hope that this sentence will provide some solace to Ms. Green’s family and friends," Brown said.
