Is Baltimore the most dangerous city in America? One publication makes the case.
BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore has been designated the most dangerous city in the country, based on a USA Today analysis of preliminary FBI crime data available for 2017. Of the nation's largest cities, Baltimore was topped in the sheer number of murders last year by only one city — Chicago — the publication showed.
Baltimore experienced a record year of violence, with 343 homicides reported in 2017.
