Cold has been a concern in Baltimore City Public Schools, many of which have had issues with heat. Earlier in the week, several schools were closed because of utility issues. A GoFundMe campaign was set up Wednesday to purchase space heaters and outerwear for students, who were sitting in extremely cold conditions in schools. The campaign's goal was to raise $20,000, which would be enough to purchase 600 space heaters. As of Thursday evening, the GoFundMe site showed that $39,455 had been raised.
