BREAKING: Baltimore City Public Schools will operate on a modified schedule on Friday, officials announced.

BALTIMORE, MD — Schools will be letting out early on Friday, Feb. 1. Officials from Baltimore City Public Schools made the decision Friday morning.
All Baltimore City Public Schools will close two hours early Friday, officials announced just before 10:30 a.m.
All after-school and evening activities scheduled for Friday are canceled.

Baltimore is under a winter weather advisory calling for snow that could make roads and sidewalks slippery.
The winter weather advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
