Bob Bell Automotive Exceeds Donation Goal to The Red Devils

Bob Bell Automotive continues Mr. Bell's legacy of generosity and community involvement, donating its largest donation to The Red Devils.

Bob Bell Automotive presented a $41,319 donation to Maryland-based breast cancer support organization The Red Devils at the charity’s annual Bull and Oyster Roast on Nov. 11 at Columbus Gardens in Baltimore.

The contribution to The Red Devils included a portion of the proceeds from every vehicle sale and service call in October during the auto dealer’s Pink Tag Sales event. With a commitment of giving back to the community, the contribution represents the largest donation ever made by the auto dealer in support of The Red Devils. The dealerships also used the Pink Tag Sales event to raise awareness of The Red Devils’ mission to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families.

“With the support of our customers, our donation will allow The Red Devils to support more Maryland women with breast cancer and their families as they navigate through a trying time,” said Bird Bell, owner of Bob Bell Automotive. “My father’s generosity made the community a better place, and we proudly continue his legacy of giving.”

Since 2002, The Red Devils has helped women with breast cancer, and their families, get through a difficult time in their lives. By providing basic family needs and reducing the worry of everyday tasks, The Red Devils helps breast cancer patients try to maintain a normal life. Breast cancer strikes about 4,300 women in Maryland annually, according to state health department statistics.

As part of the Pink Tag Sales event, breast cancer survivor Adrianne spoke to Bob Bell Automotive staff about the impact The Red Devils made on her life following her diagnosis in 2015. “From the beginning, The Red Devils organization was super helpful,” she said. “They provided gas cards because I lived in Frederick and had to drive to Hopkins every day for chemo and radiation, provided amazing vouchers for a place called Dream Dinners and helped provide a cleaning service to come to my house once a month. The money from donations goes directly to the patients. I’m thankful for all of your help and for raising money for families like mine that have gone through it and are still going through it.”

“The support of our donors makes a tremendous difference for women fighting breast cancer,” said Janice L. Wilson, executive director of The Red Devils. “Anyone of us can face breast cancer or know someone with the disease. With the generous support of partners, like Bob Bell Automotive, we can continue to stand by those women and help them in their fight.”
