"Charm'tastic Mile" June 22 Governor's Citation to Honor Orioles Magic 46th Anniv. & BIG3 League

June 17, 2025 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is announcing that June 22, 2025 Governor's Citation will be honoring the 46th Anniversary of Orioles Magic being born and the return of Ice Cube's BIG3 www.big3.com 3-on-3 pro basketball league.

This past March 2025 the BIG3 League released the Eight All-New Location-based teams for 2025. Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, the DMV (DC, MD & VA) Metro-area, Houston, Los Angeles & Miami. The DMV Trilogy will be coached by former NBA Champion and 14-year player Stephen Jackson.

The City of Baltimore during BIG3 Week (June 16-22, 2025) will be known as "Charm Thrity". The name was created last-year by The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore to Welcome the 3-on-3 Pro Basketball League to Charm City. Derrick E Vaughan presented Ice Cube his very-own "Charm Thrity" Jersey with his name Ice Cube on the back.

"He was excited to receive the jersey and flashed that Ice Cube smile. When he was showing his jersey to the media Baltimore's own Carmelo Anthony entered the building to the buzzing of his hometown crowd. It was a great moment to see the two-stars of sports & entertainment greet one-another", says Derrick E Vaughan.

On June 22, 1979 Baltimore "Orioles Magic" was born at old Memorial Stadium. With O's down 5-3 entering the bottom of the 9th-inning the Birds came back to win 6-5 and the term "Orioles Magic" was here to stay. With two-outs (Eddie Murray on 1st base) O's 3B Doug DeCinces hit a blast to the bleachers for the walk-off victory. Birds RF Ken Singleton hit a homer to bring the O's within one-run earlier in the 9th.

The Orioles advanced all-the-way to the 1979 World Series losing in 7-games to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Last June 22, 2024 Gov. Wes Moore honored the 45th Anniversary of the birth of Orioles Magic with a Governor's Citation.

Here's to another Historical Charm City Sports Day on June 22, 2025 for the BIG3 League & the 46th Anniversary of the birth of "Orioles Magic".
