"Charm City 50" is the 50th Anniversary (1975-2025) of the Iconic nickname that was coined for Baltimore in 1975 by then Mayor William Donald Schaefer. Schaefer was also Mayor when the Inner Harbor pavilions (Harborplace) opened on July 2, 1980.
