(1973), The Grammy-nominated African American vocal ensemble, SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK® has thrived as a performance ensemble founded on the missions of empowerment, education, and entertainment. They've has been described as, “one of the most dynamic, versatile and still relevant musical collectives today.”
Their current roster includes vocalists Carol Maillard, Louise Robinson, Aisha Kahlil, Nitanju Bolade Casel, Rochelle Rice and Christie Dashiell, with Romeir Mendez on upright acoustic/electric bass, and American Sign Language interpreter, Barbara Hunt.
Throughout five decades, the ensemble members have worked to create engaging and socially conscious music that consistently takes an active stance toward making our planet a better place for all in which to live. President &amp; Fleet Street)&nbsp;that is now listed on Google search as one of the&nbsp;Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America&nbsp;is reporting that today will mark the 6-day countdown milestone-anniversaries for two Baltimore Icons attractions/landmarks.&nbsp;
This coming April 25, 2026 will be the official Anniversary for The "Charm'tastic Mile" (10th)&nbsp;and the Majestic &amp; Iconic "Domino Sugars" neon sign (75th).&nbsp;
The "Charm'tastic Mile" (4-25-2016), the scenic 1.3 mile stretch of Dwtn-Charm City, will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary (2016-26) of being introduced to the City of Baltimore. On that same-day it will be the 75th Anniversary (1951-2026) of the "Domino Sugars" neon sign (4-25-1951) introduction to Charm City.&nbsp;
From two of the 3&nbsp; Iconic "Charm'tastic Mile" street signs (Inner Harbor &amp; Harbor East) you can see the "Domino Sugars" neon sign, at S. Calvert &amp; Pratt Street and at S. President &amp; Fleet Street.
The "Domino Sugars" neon sign went under restoration 5-years ago, now one of Baltimore's most symbolic symbols will soon be turning 75 during the 250th Anniversary (1776-2026)&nbsp;of the Declaration of Independence (July 4th). April 25th will go down as a very historical day in the archives of Baltimore History.&nbsp;
