Christopher Michael Stevens is a contemporary GRAMMY® Nominated songwriter, arranger and trumpeter. Christopher has had a lifetime's worth of career experiences that began when he was just a teenager. In his early days, he traveled the world with Sony Music recording artist, Tye Tribbett and G.A. as a member of the band Soundcheck. He has since gone on to perform with an array of award winning artists across several genres such as The Roots, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Darryl Hall, John Legend, Eric Roberson, Michael McDonald, Eddie Levert, Earth, Wind &amp; Fire and more. He also has credits on several dozen recordings including Diana Ross' most recent album, "Thank You".
Christopher has had on-screen roles in the highly decorated film "La La Land" and the Amazon original series "A League Of Their Own". He also scored four feature films (Who Is Christmas Eve?, Love You Right: An R&amp;B Type Musical, Walking On, and Lowest Places: Lost Time) and two short films. He can be heard as a featured soloist on the 2021 film "Really Love" as well as on the television shows "Cherish The Day" and "The Equalizer".

Want to see what Baltimore’s community organizations are building for the city’s young people, and have a say in what comes next? The Baltimore Children &amp; Youth Fund (BCYF) invites you to its 2026 Community Exhibition, a free evening of live performances, interactive exhibits, food, and community connection at the University of Maryland BioPark.
The Exhibition transforms the BioPark into a walkable, two-floor experience where you can explore hands-on stations, watch live storytelling and open mic performances, check out a photo booth, and meet the people behind programs serving Baltimore’s kids and young adults. The whole evening is set up like a science fair for grown-ups, with real projects, real creativity, and real impact from organizations across the city on display at every turn.
Highlights include:
•Live storytelling performances and an open mic
•Interactive exhibits from organizations like CHARM, Nuestras Raíces, Expanding Boundaries International, the Equity Project Foundation, and more
•A Baltimore Youth Master Plan station where you can share ideas and help shape the future of youth programs in the city
•Youth performances and an opening program
•A photo booth, creative branding activities, and take-home keepsakes
•Food, dessert, and plenty of space to connect with neighbors and community leaders
Last year’s Exhibition brought out more than 250 people who left with new connections, new ideas, and nothing but good things to say about the experience. This year’s event moves to a bigger venue with two floors of activations and even more ways to get involved.

BCYF Community Exhibition 2026 – Free Interactive Evening Celebrating Baltimore Youth Organizations

GRAMMY®-nominated tenor saxophonist and composer Melissa Aldana is internationally recognized for her profound musicality, fearless improvisation, and deeply personal storytelling through. Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1988, Aldana grew up in a family of musicians and began performing professionally as a teenager under the guidance of her father, renowned saxophonist Marcos Aldana. Influenced by Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and Mark Turner, she has developed a distinct voice that balances jazz tradition with bold innovation.
In 2013, she became the first female instrumentalist and first South American to win the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition—a historic milestone that launched her onto the global stage. As a leader, Aldana has released seven critically acclaimed albums, including Free Fall (2010), Second Cycle (2012), Melissa Aldana &amp; Crash Trio (2014), Back Home (2016), Visions (2019), 12 Stars (2022), and Echoes of the Inner Prophet (2024). Her two most recent projects, both on Blue Note Records, solidify her reputation as one of the defining voices of her generation. Her music embodies a fearless spirit and visionary creativity that bridges past, present, and future in contemporary jazz.

Baltimore Streetcar Museum

Ride Streetcars &amp; Be Gay
The Clifton Pleasure Club is teaming up with the Baltimore Streetcar Museum for our second annual Pride Party! Last year, seeing streetcars full of queer people heading down the tracks laughing and flirting together felt genuinely magical, so obviously we had to do it again.
The kind of party we’re hosting is less “big corporate Pride” and “more old school dyke lot behind the Hippo back in the day.” Hanging out outside with your people. Meeting someone cute. Running into friends you haven’t seen in forever. Sharing snacks, having a couple drinks, dancing a little, and laughing a lot. The party that we’re throwing is the kind of Pride we want to see in the world.
The Streetcar Museum gives us plenty of room to spread out, with indoor space, outdoor space, and a big grassy area (feel free to bring your own camp chair!). DJ Rosie will be keeping things fun with throwback favorites, newer queer anthems, and the kind of music that makes you want to dance.
We’re going to have a few queer vendors as well as our concession stand so please bring some cash and remember that any money you spend at our event goes to queer people in your community. There will also be a queer art exhibit because are is inherently political, a thing we need as much today as we ever have.
