Two Baltimore authors, two Baltimore tales! Join us for an author conversation on Wednesday, June 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Ivy Bookshop (5928 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21209 ) to celebrate the launch of David Bolton's WHISPERING PINES and William Loving's FELLS POINT, both of which are deeply rooted in Baltimore and its surrounding areas. Set in the postwar suburbs of Baltimore, the brick apartments in WHISPERING PINES teem with stories--of longing, loss, desire, and resilience. Told through a mosaic of interconnected tales, this richly atmospheric collection is both a love letter to mid-century Baltimore and a timeless meditation on the human condition. By turns darkly funny and melancholic, FELLS POINT captures a soul--and a city--at a crossroads. What begins as a personal journey of late-life reckoning becomes a noir-tinged meditation on memory, mortality, and the search for purpose.
