Thursday was the official 30th Anniversary (1996-2026) of Jay-Z's debut album "Reasonable Doubt". He was seen in New York at his Jay-Z 30 pop-ups by Roc Nation honoring "Reasonable Doubt" and his entire career.

That same Thursday Jay-Z was spotted at the final press conference for the much-anticipated Xander Zayas vs Boots Ennis showdown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Boots is moving up in weight to challenge Zayas for his WBA & WBO Super-welterweight titles. 

Jay-Z will be performing 3 dates at Yankee Stadium July 10-12th for his JAY-Z 30 Tour. Throughout his amazing career Jay-Z has always given love to his native Brooklyn, NY roots.

The headline title for the fight, The "Reasonable BK-Bout" pays homage to Jay-Z and the 30th Anniversary of his debut album "Reasonable Doubt". There's almost a 100% chance that Jay-Z will be in the building, ringside to see the fight. Barclays will be buzzing with him there and his "Reasonable Doubt" songs being played during the clash between Xander and Boots. 

Today is also the 38th Anniversary (6-27-1988) of the Mike Tyson (35-0, 31 KOs) vs Michael Spinks (31-1, 21 KOs) Super-Fight. Tyson destroyed Spinks in 91 seconds. Iron Mike was 21 (3-days shy of being 22) while Spinks was 10-years older at 31. The fight was billed as "Once And For All".  Tyson entered the ring as the WBA, WBC and IBF Champion. Spinks was the Ring Magazine and Lineal Champion. Mike, like Jay-Z, is from Brooklyn, NY.   

Boots Ennis will be entering the ring at Barclays Center June 27, 2026 Saturday-night with the same 35-0, 31 KOs record as Iron Mike left the ring on June 27, 1988, 38-years earlier.
