City of Baltimore: MLB AL vs NL All-Star Game in Philly Rally Bat, Spirit of '76 at 50 - USA 250th

July 11, 2026 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is unveiling its MLB All-Star Game Philly Rally Bat, Spirit of '76 at 50 - USA 250th.

This coming Monday will be the start of the 2026 MLB All-Star Game festivities. This historic Mid-Summer Classic will be played in the backdrop of the USA 250th. 50-years ago in 1976 was the USA Bicentennial (1776-1976). For those who lived it in real-time, remember all of the celebrations around the country from city & state fairs. 

The "Charm'tastic Mile" wanted to honor the historic event and created a rally bat. The  Iconic 1.3 mile stretch-corridor of Dwtn-Charm City partnered with Rawlings Sporting Goods to produce a bat that reads - ASG '26 Philly 250th, The Spirit of '76, America 1776-2026.  
It was a "Glorious Time in America". The '76 MLB All-Star Game was played in Philadelphia at old Veterans Stadium on July 13, 1976. The National League defeated the American League 7-1 in front of a crowd of 63,000 plus fans to witness the historic game. 50-years later the '26 All-Star Game is back in the City of Brotherly Love. 

Back in 1976 the Baltimore Orioles were represented by two players 2B Bobby Grich who was a starter and Mark Belanger. Nicknamed "The Blade" as a reserve player, Belanger played in his only All-Star Game in '76. He's one of the Orioles Legends of the marvelous past. Grich, like Belanger, is an O's Legend. After the 1976 season Bobby joined the California Angels and played there for the last 10-years of career. He was an Oriole from 1970-76. 

Mark spent 17 of his 18 MLB seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. His last-year he played with the other LA team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. He and Brooks Robinson formed one of the best SS & 3B defensive combos in MLB history. Belanger played on 5 of the 6 Orioles World Series teams. He wasn't a member of the 1983 Orioles World Series team, the O's defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1. Game-5 was won in Philly at old Veterans Stadium, home of the '76 All-Star Game.
