Demola (also known as “Demola the violinist”) is a musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and an award-winning an internationally acclaimed violinist, recording artist, and electrifying live performer known for redefining the sound and cultural perception of the violin in contemporary music. Fusing classical technique with Afrobeats, pop, R&amp;B, hip-hop, gospel, and cinematic orchestration, he has built a global brand that positions the violin at the center of modern mainstream entertainment. His album “One In A Million” showcases his voice and violin blend peaked at number 7 in the world music genre on Apple Music worldwide. Demola was the official violinist for many award winning, legendary R&amp;B groups including Tony! Toni! Toné! and Dwayne Wiggins from 2018–2022.

Established by renowned trumpeter Sean Jones, Richard and Elizabeth Case Chair of Jazz Studies, the Peabody Graduate Jazz Ensemble is dedicated to the recipients of the Graduate Jazz Fellowship. This ensemble focuses on community-engaged artistry to develop expressive, flexible, creative, and collaborative musicians who are deeply invested in making an impact with their art. PGJE&nbsp;provides developing artists with a platform to compose and perform original works, while gaining experience in roles of leadership and giving back to the community as educational artists.
This is a FREE show, but you will still need a ticket to attend!

Jazz&nbsp;has a long and rich history in Baltimore and at the&nbsp;Peabody Conservatory, where the&nbsp;Jazz&nbsp;Studies Department was founded in 2001. Today,&nbsp;Peabody&nbsp;Jazz&nbsp;emphasizes experiential learning and connects you to a network of active and respected performers, both on the&nbsp;faculty&nbsp;and in the worldwide&nbsp;jazz&nbsp;community. Classroom and studio instruction are augmented with real-world opportunities in a variety of settings and local venues.&nbsp;Peabody&nbsp;jazz&nbsp;coursework and lessons are part of a curriculum that crosses artistic boundaries and equips you with the skills to navigate today’s professional landscape. Tonight’s performance will feature the world-renowned&nbsp;Peabody&nbsp;Jazz&nbsp;professors who make it all possible.&nbsp;

Join us at the Alchemy of Art from 6:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m for the opening reception of Minas Konsolas: Synchronicity.
A portion of the proceeds from this show will benefit Fluid Movement, a fun-loving group of volunteer performers best known for their synchronized swimming. The opening reception will feature a dance performance by the group.
These paintings serve as a visual exploration of the invisible ties that bind us. With a paint roller as his only tool, Konsolas aims to manifest the felt experience of these unexplainable connections. 
Konsolas was born in Greece and has lived in Baltimore since 1976, where he graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art.
