Coach Harbaugh Contract To Continue: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens announced what's happening with the head coach's contract.

BALTIMORE, MD — The Baltimore Ravens announced that head coach John Harbaugh will keep his job in 2019. In addition to returning as head coach, the Ravens revealed officials were working on a contract extension.

Harbaugh is in his 11th season with the team, which issued a formal statement ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers regarding his contract.

"...anouncing the news Friday night is a statement that Baltimore’s upper-management is happy with the job Harbaugh has done regardless of how the season ends," according to the release on BaltimoreRavens.com.

The Chargers, 11-3, are the sixth seed, and the Ravens, 8-6, are the fifth seed for the wild card in the NFL's playoff picture for the AFC.

The matchup is set for 8 p.m. EST on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
