2.5-Mile Backup At Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Reported
A crash at the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Tuesday afternoon led to significant delays, officials say.

BALTIMORE, MD — Officials said the southbound tube of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel was temporarily blocked due to a crash Tuesday afternoon, snarling traffic heading into the evening rush. By 4:05 p.m., all lanes had reopened, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
The crash happened before 3:30 p.m. and required an emergency medical response, officials said.
All lanes were temporarily blocked at the southbound entrance to the tunnel.

By 3:55 p.m., the left lane was open, and the right lane remained closed, officials said, but the backup stretched 2.5 miles.
