CVS Offers Rapid Coronavirus Testing At Mondawmin Mall
A walk-up tent will offer immediate coronavirus testing results in Baltimore for free.

BALTIMORE, MD — A rapid testing site for the coronavirus will open at the former Target store in Mondawmin Mall. Health care providers from Minute Clinic and CVS Pharmacy will staff the testing site, which will provide on-the-spot results.
"Increasing our testing capacity is a main part of our road to continuing to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases in the city," Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young said in a statement Friday.
CVS Health has partnered with the state and local government to set up the site, which will offer testing inside a tent in the parking lot. A vehicle is not required; people walk up to get tested.

"Whether you are part of a vulnerable population, are beginning to return to work, or have recently taken part in a large gathering, testing is becoming even more critical than ever," Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement. “Our partnership with CVS Health continues to deliver more tests to more communities across Maryland."

“I welcome CVS establishing a free COVID-19 community testing center in one of Baltimore City’s most vulnerable communities,” Congressman Kweisi Mfume said in a statement.
The new testing center will be in the 21215 ZIP code, where about 800 people have already tested positive for the virus.
More than 7,200 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Baltimore overall, according to city health data as of Friday, June 26.
"Having community-based testing sites like this one in Baltimore is an important part of our comprehensive strategy to increase access to COVID-19 testing,” CVS Health's Chief Diversity Officer David Casey said in a statement. “Working with Governor Hogan, Congressman Mfume, and Mayor Young to raise awareness about the availability of testing at this site in Baltimore helps us to continue to reach people in need of testing as we work to provide that care in a local and accessible manner."
About 800 CVS Pharmacy locations nationwide also offer drive-thru testing in communities identified through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Social Vulnerability Index as in need of support.
The new testing site will be at 2401 Liberty Heights Avenue at Mondawmin Mall in a tent in the parking lot outside Target. It is free.
Call 401-318-5028 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday to schedule a time slot for testing.
