Deadly Light Rail Crash In Baltimore Under Investigation
BREAKING: One person has died in a light rail crash Thursday morning in Baltimore, police said.

BALTIMORE, MD — A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving the light rail Thursday morning, according to Baltimore Police. Investigators have closed part of Howard Street, and light rail service has been suspended in that area.
Howard Street is shut down from Mulberry Street to Baltimore Street, as the Baltimore Police Department investigates the crash in collaboration with the Maryland Transit Administration.
"This is an extensive scene that we are reviewing and we are asking for everyone’s patience," Baltimore Police Chief of Media Relations T.J. Smith said in a statement.

The crash occurred on North Howard at West Lexington streets at 8:35 a.m. and resulted in the death of a man, according to Fox 45. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
"Due to police and emergency personnel activity in the downtown area, Light RailLink service between North Avenue and Camden Yards is temporarily suspended," the Maryland Transit Administration said in a statement.

Shuttle bus service will be provided to get passengers between the two stations.
