Disney Recalls Mickey and Minnie Mouse Wands Sold at Baltimore Show

For safety reasons, officials have recalled toy wands sold at Disney on Ice shows, including the one in Baltimore.

BALTIMORE, MD — Those who purchased wands at last fall's Disney on Ice show in Baltimore should check to see if they are eligible for a refund. If so, consumer safety officials urge people to stop using the wands immediately.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse light spinner toy wands with lot numbers 954544 and 954603 imprinted on the bottom have been recalled. The top of the toy is capped with either the male or female Disney character. Mickey Mouse wands are yellow, red and black; Minnie Mouse wands are pink, white and blue.

The 18-inch wands are being recalled because they are hazardous to young children, who may be injured if the top component detaches and exposes an 8-inch metal rod, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
