Local Makeover From Cricket Wireless and Rebuilding Together

Cricket Wireless and Rebuilding Together began its GEDCO Cares revitalization project today, which is a part of their joint Connecting Communities initiative. The project provided needed repairs to GEDCO Cares facility, allowing the organization to focus on the needs of those in the Baltimore community who are facing financial hardships. Community volunteers replaced closet doors, created shelving, installed room dividers and new a projector and retractable screen.

The Connecting Communities initiative kicked off in 5 cities – Baltimore, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis and Seattle. Cricket contributed a total of $150,000 to fund 15 projects, 3 in each city. The initiative is a part of Cricket’s new corporate social responsibility initiative, Cricket Cares, which launched in May 2017.
