Fireworks In Baltimore To Light Up Skies Labor Day Weekend

Baltimore is hosting a fireworks show and music for its Labor Day weekend event "Fall Back Safely: End of Summer Extravaganza."

BALTIMORE, MD — Coronavirus tests and COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered during Baltimore's End of Summer celebration this weekend at the Inner Harbor.

The theme for the event is "Fall Back Safely," with safety being the theme, according to organizers.

Baltimore's Office of Promotion & The Arts, which is producing the event, will offer hand sanitizer and masks "as a reminder to stay safe through the event and throughout the fall," officials said.

A DJ will be spinning near the Inner Harbor Promenade, and street performers and other activities may be on tap. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show.

Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., and fireworks will start at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5.

Attendees will be encouraged to practice social distancing and wear face coverings.

The mayor and city of Baltimore are sponsoring "Fall Back Safely: End of Summer Extravaganza." Supporters include the Waterfront Partnership, Downtown Partnership and Mercy Hospital, which will offer vaccinations and COVID-19 tests.

Pyrotecnico will close out the event with a 15-minute fireworks show, choreographed to music.

The rain date is 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6.
