First Flurries Of The Season Fall In Maryland: Weather Service
Maryland saw its first flurries of the 2019–2020 season Friday, according to the National Weather Service in the Baltimore-Washington area.
BALTIMORE, MD — It feels like snow is in the air. And according to the National Weather Service, it was for some parts of Maryland Friday morning.
Officials said that certain regions saw the "first snowflakes of the season," with scattered flurries falling in northeastern Maryland.
Those who replied to the National Weather Service on its social media accounts reported seeing flurries from more than just the northeast. People said they saw flakes before noon in Catonsville, Frederick, Parkville and Rockville.

Of course, areas in western Maryland, like Garrett County, already had reports of snow.
Others around the state, from College Park to Bel Air, also reported flurries.

National Weather Service meteorologist Cody Snell said there were flurries in College Park at 42 degrees, which "might be the highest temperature I’ve seen with snowflakes flying."

Temperatures at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport hit a high of 47 degrees and a low of 35 Friday, according to National Weather Service data.
Daytime temperatures were above freezing, but with wind chill it will feel like it's below freezing in the Baltimore area from about 9 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.

Here's the forecast for the Baltimore metro area this week, according to the National Weather Service. It looks like the temps will climb through Veterans Day, then get chilly again Tuesday.
Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45 and low around 35 degrees. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56 and low around 42. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
Veterans Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. There's a 50 percent chance of rain at night.
Tuesday: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47 and low of 25. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 40 and low around 27. Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47 and low around 35.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Chance of showers is 30 percent.
